::Watercolor Birds::

I found this idea on Pintrest also. It's from this website that is chalk full of art lessons for kids! AWESOME resource. It's based of Lois Ehlert's book "Snowballs." I altered the project a little because I wanted to put it up now and leave it up through March. My example has snow falling on it but I didn't have the kids do that.
Here's all the kids birds:

::Wacky Owls::

Here's a close up of the owls we made for the January board. They're a little funky and kinda weird but I like them. I got the inspiration from this idea on the website smaller
Here's my owl:
Owl Hall of Fame:
The eyes are made out of egg cartons and the body/wings are construction paper that the kids designed.

::Sugar Snow Hand Prints Trees::

Yesterday we made something fun. We made hand print trees and added sugar for snow. It was my boss' idea and they turned out so pretty! This top one is the one my boss made:
Hall of Fame:
Pretty simple project: take a piece of construction paper for the background and a piece of construction paper for the snowline. Using a sponge to make a tree trunk and also to paint the kids hands. After making the tree, glue the white snowline. When the paint is dry, use a glue stick and draw wherever you want snow to be. Sprinkle sugar over the glue and tap off the excess sugar.

::December Wrap Up::

I realized I forgot to post some of our other projects that we did in December. Our room looked great. The kids made snowflakes and we hung them from the ceiling and we had lots of wintery things up!
 Here's something we did with water colors.
 They drew their scene with crayon and then painted it out with water colors. Then we used a hole punch to make snow flakes.

 I love this one. It's such an unusual perspective for a snowman. They turned out so cute!

::Little Foxes::

Here's our cute little foxes. They turned out so adorable, I couldn't be happier. The girls wanted to add bows  to their foxes which I thought was totally cute.
Here's my two favorite little foxes.
Here's the template for the fox. Sorry there's so many pages...I couldn't fit them all together.
The first page can be copied or traced on white paper.
Once these two pages are put together they can obviously be copied or traced on orange.

::January Boards::

January boards always allude me. I never can decide what to do. Do I go with a New Years theme? Keep it winterish? I never know. Last year I decided on a New Years board because I've never done one before. I knew I wanted to include a boom box just because it's fun. So I settled on a "Jamming into 2012." The kids all made musical notes to tie it in.
This year I wanted to do a whimsical forest themed board. I wanted it to be fun and different. Here's a picture of what it looks like now. I think it needs something else but I haven't decided on what quite yet.
Here's the cute little foxes that my kinder's made and our adorable toadstools.
I think it's coming together pretty well.

::Toadstool Project::

I'm in the middle of working on projects for my bulletin board. I decided to go with a whimsical forest theme. It's wintry but not "Christmasy." So here's the toadstool's we made and the pattern I made trace it all out. The board is coming along really well. I'll share that tomorrow.
